The Exact

My name is Eric James. I am twenty years old (turning twenty-one in January). I am a Naval Cadet in the Canadian Naval Reserve training to become a Maritime Surface and Sub-Surface (MARS) officer. That pretty much means that I give commands in regards to navigating and weapons controls of HMC Ships. I am a second year political science major at the University of Windsor. I love politics- I like to say that I eat, sleep and breathe politics. I am also a Grill Cook at the Crocodile Grill in the basement of Vanier Hall at the University of Windsor. When I am not studying for classes, working at the Grill or learning how to drive ships I am spending time with my girlfriend

Journal Policy

I tend to write more news and politically charged posts because I do not think that my life is important enough to be broadcast online (at least not important enough yet). I am a member of several political news groups that I am active in (

canpolitik,

harper_sucks). I have made my journal friends only so I can keep a tab on who is actually reading it.

I also keep track of people who access my journal directly (not those who read the syndicated friends page in their own journals). That is what this hit counter is.

Friend Policy

You can add me if you like. If I have noticed you on one of the groups or I have come across your journal in the middle of the night when I can't sleep and need something to do I will add you as a friend most likely. Do not be alarmed I am not an LJ stalker. I just like meeting people. If you add me as a friend chances are I will add you back. All I ask is that you comment every once and a while on what I write because I will clean the list every few weeks and the only way I can tell you are reading/still care is if you comment.

Politics

I am a member of the Liberal Party of Canada and the Ontario Liberal Party. I have been a member of the former since I was 14 and a member of the latter since 14 with a brief stint in the Conservative Party when Rt. Hon. Paul Martin Sr. was the leader. I am a fiscally conservative Liberal. I am also the President of the University of Windsor Young Liberals Association.

Politics Canada (The Game)

I learned most of what I know about historical issues in Canadian politics from an online role-playing game called Politics Canada. The game is run by amazingly intelligent Canadians who are dedicated to making the game as realistic and historically accurate as possible. Currently the game is set in the 1960s and I am playing a Progressive Conservative, red-Tory from Lethbridge, Alberta. If you want to learn about Canadian politics and even a bit on how the internal political system works in Canada than I strongly urge you to join this game and learn the ropes. It may seem a little overwhelming at first but you get into the groove and become one of the go to players in no time (provided you put some time and effort into learning the game and the history). New England Patriots

I am a dedicated New England Patriots fan. I am not a member of the bandwagon either. I was there during the days of Bledsoe and the like.

2007 New England Patriot Season
November 25, 2007 - clinched the AFC East (earliest clinch in history)
December 23, 2007 - beat the previous record of most games won in a season held by the Miami Dolphins from 1972
December 29, 2007 set NFL record of most games won in a single season (perfect season)
